The Village Management Information System (VMIS) is an application of information technology aimed at improving the quality of public services and the effectiveness of village governance. This study aims to analyze the role of VMIS in supporting administrative services, population data management, and increasing transparency and accountability in village government. The method used was a literature review through the study of various journals, books, and related regulations. The results show that VMIS can accelerate administrative processes, improve data accuracy and security, simplify reporting, and support more effective decision-making. Furthermore, VMIS increases the transparency of village financial management. However, its implementation still faces obstacles such as limited human resources, technological infrastructure, and community digital literacy. Therefore, increasing the capacity of village officials and government support is needed to optimize the implementation of VMIS
